HKU Excellence Awards Presentation Ceremony for 2025
Celebrating Remarkable Achievements in Teaching, Research and Knowledge Exchange

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) held the HKU Excellence Awards Presentation Ceremony for 2025 today (30 April), celebrating the outstanding achievements of its scholars in teaching and research, as well as their significant contributions to knowledge exchange between the University and society. The Ceremony was officiated by HKU President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Xiang Zhang, with Pro-Chancellor Dr the Honourable Sir David Li Kwok Po as the Guest of Honour.

During the Ceremony, more than 20 exceptional academics were recognised with various awards including the Outstanding Teaching Award, Early Career Teaching Award, Teaching Innovation Award, Outstanding Researcher Award, Outstanding Young Researcher Award, Outstanding Research Student Supervisor Award and Knowledge Exchange Excellence Award. The occasion also featured a special tribute to Professor Max Shen, celebrating his election as an International Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
