The HKU Cultural Carnival

For the 2026/27 academic year, The University of Hong Kong (HKU) received a record-breaking number of over 28,000 non-local undergraduate applications. Applications from international undergraduate students also surged by 77%.

To foster integration among students from diverse backgrounds, a group of students is organizing the HKU Cultural Carnival on September 22 (Tuesday). The event will feature cultural performances and booths, showcasing HKU’s vibrant, international environment. Professor Bennett Yim, Director of Undergraduate Admissions and International Student Exchange, will also meet with the press after the Opening Ceremony to give an overview of HKU’s admission results and undergraduate programme development this year.

Members of the media are welcome to attend the event and chat with members of the HKU community. Details are as follows:
